Pour couvrir l’évènement, le label Columbia a organisé une grande chasse au trésor le 18 octobre dans les rues de la capitale. Les fans de la formation australienne ont pu gagner, grâce à des indices disséminés dans la capitale sous la forme de six blocs de glace, 20 disques collector de Black Ice, ainsi que le Black Ice Ticket, un billet pour assister à l’un des concerts américains du groupe.
La formation australienne livre un opus de quinze nouvelles pistes enregistrées au Warehouse Studio de Vancouver, sous la houlette de Brendan O’ Brien (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen). Pendant huit semaines, le groupe a travaillé sur plusieurs titres avant de composer le tracklisting final. Le premier single intitulé Rock’n'Roll Train a été proposé aux radios en août dernier. Le clip, réalisé à Londres, est disponible sur le site officiel du groupe.
L’album est vendu exclusivement dans la chaîne de magasins Wal-Mart aux Etats-Unis. Le disque est disponible dans tous les points de vente dans le reste du monde, à l’exception de la plateforme de téléchargement iTunes.
AC/DC entamera une tournée mondiale dès la fin du mois. La formation se produira également les 25 et 27 février 2009 à Paris Bercy.

Paul McCartney moves in girlfriend

Sir Paul McCartney’s girlfriend Nancy Shevell has moved in with him.
The Beatles legend asked the US millionairess – who he has been dating for almost a year – to move into Peasmarsh, his East Sussex estate, after she began spending almost every weekend there.
A family friend said: ‘Paul and Nancy are as solid a couple as you can get after just a short time together. She always seems to be at Peasmarsh anyway so it made sense to him just to ask her to move in.
‘She’ll still travel between the UK and her base in the US but is setting up home with Paul.’
The 66-year-old musician asked Beatrice, his four-year-old daughter with ex-wife Heather Mills, for her approval before asking Nancy to live with him.
Paul’s fashion designer daughter Stella – who had a well-publicised feud with Heather – has also given the move her blessing, although she is said to be urging her father not to rush into marriage.
The source added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: ‘Paul asked Beatrice if she liked Nancy and got a resounding ‘Yes’, which meant the world to him.’
Paul bought the secluded Peasmarsh estate as a wedding gift for his first wife Linda in 1969.

Exciting times: after making 2008 her own with the year’s top-selling album and single, Duffy returns November 17th with Rain On Your Parade – her first new material since the release of her phenomenal debut LP Rockferry.
The single continues Duffy’s winning partnership with Steve Booker, who co-writes and produces Rain On Your Parade after the duo’s hugely successful collaboration on number one smash Mercy.
Rain On Your Parade is taken from the forthcoming deluxe edition of Rockferry – an enlarged two-disc collection featuring seven new tracks – which is released November 24th.

Carny Barker started in 2001 as a Classic funk band. Starting with 8 people on stage, the first band was called “Les apotres du funk”. Of 8, only 3 remain. Julian: grizzled veteran, Jb: the mastermind and Justin: the zen master. The Carny Barker experience as we know it began when Guilluame “Ze good” Lebon became our official drummer for the following couple of years. Then came the times of change again, when Jean came in and gave the final touch to the Carny Barker’s groove. Since 2003, Carny Barker has been touring in the region of Normandy and the north of France. Now the band is laying new tunes for their next album and begins its conquest of Paris in the new year, and Europe !
